Vaar naar het wereldberoemde Underwater Sculpture Park en geniet van een volledig begeleide snorkeltour door elk van de sculpturen. Een lunchbuffet en niet-alcoholische dranken worden geserveerd voordat u doorvaart naar Flamingo Bay om te snorkelen, een prachtig snorkelen bij een prachtig rif en te ontspannen op een zandstrand in een beschermd zeegebied. The boat is very comfortable indeed and the crew are lovely. We based ourselves on the cushions at the rear which were so relaxing - the ship's dogs appeared to agree as they also snuggled in amongst us! There's a nice if compact toilet below deck in the saloon, plus kitchen where the food was prepared.
Unfortunately there had been some bad weather around before our trip and the water wasn't clear so the snorkelling over the sculptures was pretty hopeless for those who weren't up to diving down, despite captain Marc's best efforts to point things out, but he kindly offered to dive down with our underwater camera and took some nice shots for us, so we could see what was down there!
He also decided given the sea conditions, not to stop at Flamingo Bay but found another bay close by for us to have a second snorkel around some rocks. Not a lot going on under the water but it was pleasant for snorkelling. Between times the crew served up a really scrumptious lunch of various salads, bread, chicken and fish and veg samosas if my memory serves me right. As much soft or alcoholic drink as you wanted all through the excursion too.
I've still given the cruise 5/5 as although we didn't see as much as we hoped underwater, it wasn't the crews fault and it was a lovely day just relaxing on deck, and nice to see the capital from the water and learn about the cruise ship that wrecked nearby years ago, and the statue erected in honour of the locals who helped with the rescue operation.
